August 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

  • We finished There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom   (195 pages) Bradley became a good person and the counselor goes to a new school.
  • We finished Being of Two Minds where Connie finds Rudy and they get away.
  • We did two edit sentences; we learned about the semicolon.
  • We did our third math test;there where thirteen A’s and six were 100%
  • 14 students still have no missing assignments.
  • On our reading test, nine were A’s and three were 100%
  • We went to art and learned how to draw a straight line with a ruler; don’t laugh, it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Harcourt Math Activities, Games, and Practice Tests

August 21, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Even though we have the math lessons each day and do additional problems in the practice workbook, sometimes there may be a difficult concept. If a student would like additional opportunities to practice math concepts, these are available on the Harcourt site. They even have practice tests that include a brief review for the parents regarding the concepts covered in that chapter, sample test problems, and a game or activity. The answers are provided for you. Some students choose to print the practice test to take at home the night before the math test.

Harcourt Math Activities, Games, and Practice Tests
