Our 4th Day of School (Hello Candy Man)

August 12, 2008 · Leave a Comment

In music we made wallets. We did our math lesson. One fourth grade boy was missing a math homework assignment, another fourth grade boy was missing two math homework assignments worth 10% each off the test grade. We still have a fourth grade girl without a planner and a few students having trouble getting used to the routine. We completed our edit. We listened to Read Aloud (Being of Two Minds). And we packed up for early out lunch and recess. Parents are reminded that the parent orientation is this Thursday at 6:45 p.m. in the MPR.

Thanks, MAI Students

Multiage: the First Iteration

My first MAI class of fourth and fifth graders met at the Foothills Food Court for a chance to meet and talk. Corinna organized the event. They came from Ironwood Ridge, CDO, Germany, and Phoenix. A student in China and another in California wished they could have been able to come. I think more would have attended if we could reach them by e-mail. Everyone talked and posed for pictures and visited just as if they were together a week ago. Amazing. I am proud of these kids and love them all.
